The City of Olean is the major commerce and industrial center for Cattaraugus County and the surrounding counties in New York and Pennsylvania. Olean, New York is home to several industries specializing in everything from Hi-Tech power sources to the manufacturing of common household products. The location of Olean provides for easy access to the major markets throughout the Northeast, including Canada. These areas include Buffalo, Rochester, Binghamton, New York City and Boston, Ma. Within a 500 mile radius a total service U.S. population of over 70,000,000 exists and to the North we have approximately 62% of the total population of Canada and close to 80% of all manufacturing facilities that are located in Canada.

These markets can be easily reached through Olean's easy access to an extensive, well-developed transportation network from highways such as Interstate 86 (formerly NY Rt. 17) and US Route 219, to easy accessibility of rail and air transportation centers.
