How ‘bout a 2008 Harley-Davidson FAT BOB? (Yes, it’s a Fat BOB)
The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and the Olean Area Motorcycle Enthusiasts are raffling off a Harley-Davidson Candy Red Glo FXDF Dyna Fat Bob with Vance & Hines radius performance pipes during the Rally in the Valley motorcycle event in August. The Fat Bob Deuce is the latest model in the Dyna lineup, which gets its name from the 5.1-gallon FXDWG-style Fat Bob fuel tank sporting traditionally appropriate dual caps. The Fat Bob brings a new perspective to the Dyna family, with its bold, in-your-face attitude and factory customized styling cues that include not only the large Fat Bob tank, but innovative dual reflector optic headlamps.
Other key touches that set the Fat Bob apart include the beefy rubber fore and aft with a new D427, unique and aggressive tread pattern - up front is a 130 mm Harley-Davidson Dunlop 16-inch tire, while out back is a 180 mm 16-incher. Both donuts mount on silver-toned, slotted cast aluminum wheels. The seat is a two-up style featuring a new kicked-up shape that provides lumbar support for the rider and a low seat height of 26.1 inches.
Power for the Fat Bob comes from a black powder-coated (with polished fins), vibration-isolated twin cam 96 (1584 cc) air-cooled V-twin with an electronic sequential port fuel injected motor that couples to a six-speed Cruise Drive gearbox, metering ratios to the belt final drive. The throaty exhaust are aftermarket Vance & Hines radius performance pipes. Vance & Hines is a leader in the motorcycle aftermarket industry and recognized for quality high performance exhaust systems. The motor delivers a satisfying 93 pound-feet of torque at 3000 rpm.
Tickets are available for a chance to win the Fat Bob and are $20 with a limit of 1,500 tickets to be sold. The drawing will be announced on Sunday, August 17. The motorcycle was partially sponsored by Larry's Sport Center, Galeton, PA. Tickets are available to purchase before the event at the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, at the Home and Garden Show in Paril, various Rally committee members and during the Rally event.
The Rally Committee is spearheaded by Dennis Jones, Randy Langdon, Larry Penman, and Dan Jordan. Mr. Jones states, “The tallies through the last five Rally in the Valley have been very positive, in the fact that we have given more than $62,000.00 to local charities. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to give back to a community that is very supportive of our event. We have many businesses and individuals that have given much time and energy to make this one of Olean's most successful fund raisers and an event everyone can enjoy.”
