According to recent statistics, 81 percent of B2B purchases begin with a Web search, and 91 percent of consumers go online when they want to find local businesses. Web searches drive sales: Google reports that one-third of customers who search on a computer and over half of those who search on a mobile device visit a business right after doing the search.
Ted Galantowicz, Certified Counselor & Workshop Co-Coordinator of the Buffalo Niagara SCORE reports, “If you don’t have a business website, those potential customers won’t find you. Fortunately, creating a business website is easier than ever. You will learn and create a basic online presence to market your business. Learn how to do it yourself well but inexpensively. Learn what a website should look like."

The Home Show has always been a one-stop shop where attendees can shop and compare for many home and garden products and service. Now we can also attract ‘do-it-yourself’ers to the show with the demo area. The term “do-it-yourself” has been associated with consumers since at least 1912 primarily in the domain of home improvement and maintenance activities. The phrase “do it yourself” had come into common usage (in standard English) by the 1950s, in reference to the emergence of a trend of people undertaking home improvement and various other small craft and construction projects as both a creative-recreational and cost-saving activity.
