Greater Olean Area Outdoor & Rec Sports Show

The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce deemed the third annual Greater Olean Area Outdoor & Rec Sports Show held this weekend a continued success with more than 1,748 visitors (more than 600 from the 2010 show).  The show, which featured 41 vendors, was held at the Daniel Carter Events Center in Allegany.  

“This show provided attendees with a wonderful opportunity to learn about outdoor recreational choices, search for and purchase recreational equipment and accessories, as well as plan experiences the entire family will enjoy,” stated Betty Burrows, GOACC program associate.

The winners of the Greater Olean Area Outdoor and Recreation Sports Show were GRAND PRIZE - 18 pc Cutco Cutlery Corp. Cutlery Set (Retail Value $1,034) – Dave Freeman of Friendship, NY; 2nd PRIZE - Savage M111FCXP3, 30-06 Caliber, with a 3-9 X 40 Bushnell Scope, Synthetic Stock, detachable magazine, and hard case (Retail Value $575) Liz Whipple of Olean, NY; and 3rd PRIZE - 2 Person Charter on Lake Erie 2012 from Reel Action Sportfishing, (Retail Value $300) Shawn Dubin of Allegany, NY. The prizes were supplied by show vendors/sponsors: Ron’s Gun Shop, Richburg, NY; CUTCO Cutlery Corp., Olean, NY; Ka-Bar Knives, Olean, NY; and Reel Action Sportfishing, Farrell, PA.  More than 15 additional knifes and hunting items were also awarded and winners were announced via email.
