This gives GOACC the ability to promote our member’s business products or services to a broader audience and allow them to connect with a market of potential customers and clients. This also allows for various business opportunities. This is a benefit that is not exclusive; all members are encouraged to grow with us.
The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce strives to give its members the very best because they want nothing more than to see them be a successful business that makes the Olean area thrive. If you’re a member who wants to promote your product or service, please call GOACC at 716-372-4433 or email.
NEW MEMBERSHIP DUES LEVEL at GOACC
January 28, 2020
The board of directors and the membership committee at Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce have approved a new level of membership at the Chamber – side gigger. According to the US Federal Government, about 13 million U.S. workers have more than one job. These steady numbers of American workers have more than one job because either they need extra income or they want to gain more experience or explore different interest. It also shows that they have a talent in time management.
The side gigger can include schoolteachers that make and sell their own jewelry online or an engineer who is a personal trainer on the side. Erica Dreher, Member Outreach Associate, stated, “This new membership level at GOACC allows those who have a side-gig to increase their circle of influence by networking with other businesses that they may not have had access to before.”
Member regulations would include… a potential side gigger member will have a full time job with an existing GOACC member. Their side gig job is that, a side gig, a job that is part time in an area that they would like to promote – whether it’s a personal training, a direct sales company like Scentsy or Tupperware. The member fee for this level is $90 / year. GOACC’s sole proprietor dues level is $209, and additional levels are based on number of employees.
“Our first member in this category is Carrie’s Clutter Cure with Carrie Oliver. Carrie has a career with the Cattaraugus Allegany BOCES but ventured in to direct sales with Thirty One Gifts,” added Mrs. Dreher. Mrs. Oliver came aboard as a side gigger for the networking benefits that are a part of membership at the Chamber.
