Networking

Word-of-mouth is one of the best ways to grow your business, which is why we provide a variety of networking opportunities for member businesses to get to know one another. One of our most popular is Business After Hours, which runs monthly between August and May.

Directory

Be part of our categorized resource of more than 570 member businesses, listed alphabetically and by category. Complete with address, phone, and website link. A 52-page print directory also showcases Gift Certificate participants.

Newsletter

Our on-the-go Chamber newsletter is e-mailed to the entire membership and provides up-to-the-minute information vital to business. Members are encouraged to send in their news and other information. Click here to get a spotlight in the Member Focus section.

Mailing

Getting ready for a big mailing? Buy member address labels, sorted by ZIP code or alphabetically. Cost is $50 for members and $150 for non-members.

Promotion

Showcase your business at the Chamber office when you let us display your business card or brochure. Free to all members.

Members

Get discounted services provided by other Chamber members. The Chamber receives numerous business inquiries and has a strong members-only referral policy.

Media

Take advantage of discounted advertising rates offered through Chamber media members, including the Times Herald, WPIG/WOLY, WOEN/WMXO, and Spectrum. These discounted rates apply to new media advertisers.

Ribbon Cutting

Let the community know your business has arrived with a new business ribbon cutting or ground breaking. Our checklist will help you decide who to invite, when to hold the event, what to showcase, etc.

The Associate Membership is designed for 501(c)3 non-profits with no employees, or non-member entities who wish to have their event promoted by the Chamber. The cost for an Associate Membership $75 per year. If you’d like to purchase multiple memberships, please contact us.

Employees are counted by FTE standards. For example, one full time employee working 35 or more hours per week, or two part-time employees working 20 hours or less per week are counted as one full-time employee. And if your business has 5 full-time employees and three part-time employees, you would be classified as having 6.5 employees.

Please note: Your membership dues may be tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Please consult with your tax professional for a final determination.

Paying Membership Dues

We can bill you annually or you can opt for a monthly ACH draft or charge on your credit card. (Psst… If you choose the ACH option, you get your first month FREE.)

For existing members only.

All annual membership payments to the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce (GOACC) are non-refundable, unless received within 14 days of membership start date. Then, full refunds less a $35 service fee are available. For companies choosing the monthly ACH or credit card payment option: Membership will automatically renew at the end of 12 months and monthly billing will continue until the Chamber is notified in writing to discontinue.
